The Student Composers Recital provides an opportunity for students to perform their own creative compositions as well as receive published manuscripts of their work.

• Date: Saturday, January 30th, 2027 6:00-7:00 pm
• Location: Northwest Pianos, 13310 Bel-Red Rd Suite 100, Bellevue
• Student Fee: $25 (plus $10 for any extra recital books)

Before Friday, January 15th, 2027:

• Students must be registered via the link above. Teachers may have their students register themselves, or register for them.
• Email copy of the student’s composition to Kaitlin.
• Send payment to Kaitlin via a check made out to LWMTA for the $25 registration fee, plus $10 for each extra booklet requested.

The Student Composers Recital is an exciting event that encourages musical creativity and provides students the opportunity to share their original works with fellow students and their teachers.

The registration fee includes one published LWMTA Student Composers Recital book, which includes students’ original works (you can also order additional copies when you register). ​

Students may submit compositions in any format (Finale score, hand drawn, staff paper, letter names instead of notes, graphic score with shapes). Students may also submit original artwork to go with their compositions.

At the recital, students will introduce their piece before performing, and may also say something about their work if they want to (what inspired them, how they went about composing it, etc.)
