Book Donations – Joyce Meech
Joyce has books today! Two boxes of duets, large selection of jazz, some solo collections, music about animals and nature, Bartok, standard classics. She has even more at home – please call Joyce (425) 746-6151 if there’s something in particular that you’re looking for. You can make an appointment to come look at what she has at home.

Musical Gift Recitals – Cherry Li (Stephanie Lee)
The next MGR has been tentatively set for May 25th at 3pm at Kirkland Morning Star. They’ve requested that the music be intermediate level or above (and students be 8 and older).
Scholarship Competition – Nicole Kim
We had the Scholarship Competition on April 6th, there were 5 teachers and four first place winners from four different teachers. Level A winner is from Jeong-ah Ryu, Winner B is from Nicole’s studio, Level C is Makiko’s studio, and Level D is Bonnie Debu’s studio. This competition is possible because of the teacher volunteers! This year our expenses were the judge’s fee, church, very nice medals, certificates and printing, and scholarship awards
themselves. A thank-you card for the judge has been donated by Nicole.
The most popular category usually has ages 11-14 in it, and had 9 kids in it (youngest age 7).So maybe next year kids up to age 10 can be one category, and probably no more than 4-5minutes per performer.
We discuss when / how scholarship checks should be distributed to teachers.

Music Literacy Program – Mary Kaye Owen, Gloria Tzuang, Laurie Ketron
MLP is Saturday May 4th at the Eastside Baha’i Center in Bellevue. Registration closes Saturday April 20th. Registration is a bit different this year – you have to register each student individually. Theory is drop-in between 10am and 4pm, but the other sections need to be scheduled.
Spring Potluck Date Change
Tuesday June 4th at 10:30am at Satomi Pellerin’s house! (Not the 3rd Tuesday of May like usual).
